There are three types of membership in the Nursing Leadership Council:

Active

Active members of NLC must be a Chief Nursing Executive employed in a member organization of HASC. In addition, active members must be a Registered Nurse currently licensed in California. Active members may vote and hold office. Dues for Active members is $150, paid annually.

Associate

Associate members of NLC must be a Registered Nurse employed in a leadership position in a HASC membership organization or a Registered Nurse employed by an accredited RN education program. Associate members may hold the offices of Secretary or Treasurer in their area council, but may not hold the offices of President or President-Elect in their area council and may not be a Board liaison to the NLC from their area council. Dues for Associate members is $50, paid annually.

Honorary

Honorary membership may be conferred on nurse executives who have demonstrated outstanding service. Honorary members may not vote or hold office.
